Greengate's vision for St Luke's Green is to create a dedicated aged care community around the existing St Luke's Church. The care based village will combine contemporary apartments for seniors and a modern aged care home set within landscaped grounds. Greengate has recently completed the St Peter's Green village in Lane Cove North, which successfully provided a wonderful care based environment for seniors.
The intention at St Luke's Green is to provide a range of accommodation and care services options to seniors including:
- luxury apartments for seniors to live independently;
- assisted living in home and support services, including dining, cleaning and nursing care when needed;
- aged care accommodation for the elderly who require continual care; and
- community facilities including a central garden and space for activities, socialising, dining and reflection.
St Luke's Green is centrally located with only 400 metres walk to Buranda train station. Nearby busway and walking distance to shops makes St Luke's a convenient location to live. Medical facilities are plentiful with the Mater, Greenslopes and Princess Alexandria hospitals all close by.
Greengate plans to provide prospective residents with detailed information, including apartment floor plans and finishes available in mid 2011. Construction of the first stage is expected to commence in mid 2012.
